About the Role

Core Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse at Ridgeway, your role will involve:

  • Delivering high-quality care to patients with autism, learning disabilities, or mental health disorders.

Key Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, applicants must:

  • Hold current professional registration with the UK’s Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) as RNMH or RNLD.
  • Have completed a recognized preceptorship program.
  • Be trained as a clinical supervisor or commit to obtaining this within six months of probation.
  • Demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Experience

Candidates should have substantial experience in:

  • Working with individuals with mental ill health or learning disabilities.
  • Delivering care in a therapeutic, person-centered environment.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Engaging service users and their families/carers in the care process.

Knowledge

Applicants must possess:

  • A solid understanding of clinical risk assessment and management.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and their application.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Proficiency in clinical medicines management.
