Your Responsibilities as a Personal Caregiver
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health status or behavior to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Work Environment:
The work environment of a Personal Caregiver at Bayshore HealthCare typically includes:
1. Client’s Home: Personal caregivers often work in the residences of clients, providing one-on-one care. This requires the ability to adapt to different home environments.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.

- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (if transportation is required).
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is an asset.
Education and Certification:
- completion of a formal accredited caregiver program.
- Ongoing training provided through Bayshore’s internal or external educational programs.
